A CO2 laser is a medical device that uses carbon dioxide laser technology to deliver concentrated light energy, precisely removing damaged outer layers of the skin while stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers. This promotes skin rejuvenation, improves texture and address the following concerns:
Wrinkles and fine lines
Acne scars or stretch marks
Sun damage
Age spots
Uneven skin tone
Our brand new laser is FDA approved.

Really the question is, why wouldn’t you? When done correctly, you won’t find a better collagen stimulating treatment capable of resurfacing the skin. Try me! I haven’t met too many patients that don’t have one complaint or a stubborn area of skin laxity, a scar, deep lines or pigment, someone always has something they want to target. The capabilities behind this device are almost endless. Neck lines? Easy peasy! Under-eyes? Add in the upper lid while you're at it! Smoker lines? We start with this.

We numb each area with our medicated numbing agent for 45 minutes to an hour. After cleansing thoroughly we map out the areas for treatment and use a cooling device for pain control. With these two pain relieving options, our patients have found the treatment manageable.

Mild: 3-5 days of redness, swelling and above
Moderate: 5-10 days of swelling, redness, oozing, followed by flakiness
Aggressive: 14 days of downtime, with potential for redness up to 4 weeks. You will be red, swollen, with scabbing.

Our practice requires a 6 week preparation with our ZO protocol of either a Tretinon of at least .1% or any of the ZO retinoids, and if you are a Fitzpatrick 3-6, you must be prepped with a hydroquinone for 4 weeks prior.

WRONG! We are able to treat all skin types with our laser. Does this mean a Fitzpatrick scale of 5-6 can get as aggressive as a 1-2? No. But, with the proper preparation and device settings I can give a darn good result to everyone.
